I’ve been around for a while but biohacking was a new concept for me. The biohackers I discovered online have allowed me to discover more about myself and allow me to enjoy life to the max.
Mark Sisson
We’ve only recently had the opportunity to be able sit for hours in chairs with ergonomic arms, drink sugary or caffeinated beverages and eat pre-packaged food. Artificial lighting has allowed us to be up all night and trick our bodies into believing it is always daytime.
Mark. It has worked for 62+ years to return to our primal roots. He seems like a Greek god and can still move his body much better that most people twenty years older.
Mark is often referred to as the father and founder of the primal movement. His belief system encourages us to eat, move, and live closer than our forefathers. Mark claims that humans live, eat, and move in certain patterns for thousands years. These are the default patterns that we must return to.
The most important Biohack I discovered was:
HIIT – Mark introduced me to sprinting/High-Intensity Inval Training (HIIT), which I found far better than the steady state cardio.
I do a HIIT work out at least twice a week. If we run for four minutes each week, we can reap more health benefits that a half hour of cardio five days a weeks. This is the JiuJitsu class I oversee.
Tim Ferriss
Tim was my first introduction to him 10 years before I bought his book 4 Hour Workweek. Tim is a major biohacker but he doesn’t normally identify himself as such. He did however write The 4 Hour Body. This book is packed full of biohacks to get you the body that you desire. He has often spent over $60,000 per week on blood screening. Ferrus also ran Dexa Scans several times a week for weeks to determine whether his fasting was causing excessive muscle loss.
I was drawn to the idea of engineering on my own projects so that I could work wherever I wanted. While I always wanted to do that, I realized I needed to be connected to the laboratory as well as the production center. I found a new and exciting job after reading Tim’s book. I was no more connected to factories or laboratories.
Tim was the greatest Biohacker I’ve ever learned.
Tim helped me find a way to create my work from home. Since 2008, I have worked from home for 8 years. It is the best thing! My commute takes less than 5 minutes. My spare moments are spent with my family, reading, writing, looking into, and being outdoors. During summer, I can work outside on my back porch without my tee shirt. I work more efficiently and have less stress than I did in a traditional workplace. Thanks, Tim!
Dave Asprey
The most popular biohacker. Bulletproof Executive podcast by Dave is, without any doubt, the best podcast. Get all details about biohacking and your health.
Dave is the one that many have drew to me to the field of biohacking. Bulletproof Training was the first program that he created for me when I was looking to do more in the field. The rest is history.
Dave is the greatest Biohack I’ve ever used.
Dave gave me the information about ketosis. Ketosis involves running your body off glucose (sugar) for energy. Our bodies require fuel to function when carbohydrates are decreased below 50 grams daily. Because we eat many carbs per day, glucose is what our bodies need to fuel us. We never have sugar shortages because those carbs convert into glucose. Low energy, anxiety, and irritability can all be caused by a lack of sugar. We NEED to eat! Instead of eating fat, you can train your body to run quickly. Ketones can then be used to provide energy for the brain and body.
